Welcome to the Waterboro Fire Department website. WFD has been proudly serving the community of Waterboro for over 65 years! The Waterboro Fire Department handled over 2200 incidents in 2008. We serve a population of about 7500 residents covering a 57 square mile area. The area is comprised of rural homes, sub divisions and light commercial businesses. US routes 202 & 5 intersect near East Waterboro, Maine. With the continued residential and commercial growth the department will see a steady increase in services provided annually. WFD also provides mutual aid to Alfred, Buxton, Hollis, Goodwin Mills, Limerick, Limington, and Shapleigh.
Our department is staffed with 4 fulltime employees, several part time and many dedicated call/volunteer members. We provide both Emergency Medical and Fire Suppression Services 24/7.
